About Anita

Anita is an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner for preteens / teens and a Personal Growth Coach for Mums. She is the founder of Teen Wellbeing and is dedicated to supporting young people and their families navigate life through the teenage years. Anita’s journey began 20 years ago in the field of education where she achieved significant success.

She was an Ofsted outstanding teacher and also coached newly qualified teachers for many years supporting them through the early years of the profession. Her last position was Head of PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) where she was able to explore ways to use powerful coaching concepts and techniques to help improve the emotional intelligence and overall wellbeing of her students.

She found that too often children felt isolated and alone in the problems they were facing. They battled with low self-esteem, anxiety, body image, academic pressure and much more. They were afraid nobody would understand their problems and were confused about how to handle their challenges. Ultimately this led to them becoming paralysed by stress and feeling overwhelmed.

This experience motivated Anita to want to make a difference in the lives of the youth of today. The result of this was Anita qualifying as an Accredited Practitioner Coach with the International Authority for Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPCM). She has worked with many children who have now experienced positive results in developing new habits, increased self-esteem and confidence.

Anita is a highly sought after coach for teenagers and their families, supporting them in dealing with the many pressures and challenges life throws at them. Throughout her work with families, Anita has found that there is an ever increasing demand for support from mothers too. In particular helping to address the need for clarity and direction in their lives but feeling overwhelmed and struggling to understand where to begin.

Anita has two boys aged 10 and 14 and understands fully how easy it is for ‘mum guilt’ to kick in. Anita believes that it very important for mums to make space in their lives just for them and to do things that give them joy. This concept is alien to so many mums and support is limited.

When your child was younger there were support groups for everything but as your child gets older the support around you decreases. Everyone assumes it gets easier but it doesn’t the challenges that you face just change.

To assist this growing need, Anita offers coaching for mums who are looking to rediscover their own identity and goals for life while supporting their children navigate life through the preteen / teen years.
